It's no great surprise that the Thistle Glasgow has lasted so long in the City Centre.
It's in a brilliant location, particularly if you'll be heading to the shops and restaurants in the Sauchiehall Street area, one of my favourite places in the City for going out at night (if I've had a few too many I sometimes use the hotel as a landmark to find my way!).
The hotel's in a safely lit area, round the corner from the massive Cineworld movie complex, Theatre Royal, Glasgow Pavilion, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Buchanan Bus Station & Queen Street Underground, the light-absorbing shopping mecca of Buchanan Galleries, and you'll be able to walk straight out into the bustling atmosphere in the knowledge that it won't take you long to get back!
The Thistle's also known for hosting a great deal of events which attract Scotland's favourite celebrities, so I'm sure you'll have your autograph book at the ready...

Hotel Facilities
Some of the vast array of facilities here are 300 rooms and disabled facilties, cots available, the much-adored Annlann Restaurant, gymnasium, indoor pool sauna & Jacuzzi, satellite TV, safety deposit box, 24 hour room service, a very helpful concierge, wake up call available, currency exchange, private dining services, lounge menu, and radio.

Sarah Smith The refurbishment is wonderful. The rooms were modern, substantial, well upholstered and very comfortable. Bathrooms a little on the small size, but clean and fresh. Asked the housekeeping for an additional duvet and additional towel. After two further calls, five hours later they finally arrived! Ideal for shopping - just a few minutes walk into town. We will be going back for more and we would definitely stay again. It was a shame that the price of breakfast was not included in the price but superb restaurant staff and excellent food!
Robert McGuire Ideally situated in the heart of Glasgow with excellent access to transport. The availability of parking at a reasonable rate was particularly welcome as we travelled by car and normally find it difficult to obtain a central hotel with this facility for a reasonable rate (accommodation and parking). If similar rates available would almost certainly use this hotel again.
Malcolm Bradley The hotel is very close to the main bus station, entertainment (cinema and Jongleurs Comedy club) and shopping. The staff are very polite and helpful. I have used the hotel twice, and will definitely use it every time I visit Glasgow.
R. Adler This hotel is excellant for it's standard of service and quality. The hotel throughout is clean and tidy. The rooms are more than adequate in size and you are guaranteed a good night's sleep. We had room service and the food was excellant. Would strongly recommend this hotel for all, (business, leisure and families). The facilities are excellant for all those who stay. Great location, within walking distance of town centre, pub, and restaurants.
