I grew up on the east side of Glasgow but had many a nice day at Kelvingrove park and the Art Galleries and the Botanical gardens but the best park of all was Hogganfield Loch that was oor lovely park ,and now I ive in Boston I love the Boston public Gardens beautiful park and just love to walk through it on a nice summers day, but still think of Glasgow fondly

Best Park in Glasgow
by: Jill

I really love this park. We walk the dogs there every Sunday morning and take a bike ride around the park depending on the weather. I'd recommend this to everyone as it is also just across the road from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Scotland's most popular free attraction. Thanks for a great site Scott!!

Brings back memories!
by: May

Well, I wasn't at that event - but Kelvingrove Park brings back lots of memories. My parents had friends who lived near there and we used to visit when I was young and go for a picnic to the park.

I was there!
by: Scott

Thanks for the great photo Lotta. I remember sunning myself on the park that summer, which gifted us with an outstanding heatwave. We'd just moved into our new home (having lugged what seemed like thousands of boxes to the new house in the sweltering heat), and took some time off to rest in the park to catch some rays. What a summer!
