Molly Malones on Hope Street

by Steven Flack

Molly Malones Glasgow

Molly Malones Glasgow

I don't know if this counts Scott because Molly Malones is a bar, but the food there is brilliant.

My wife and I have recently returned from a trip to Scotland, and Glasgow was one of the best spots in our whole time there.

We went into Molly Malones on Hope Street (I hope I got that right!!) to watch a Celtic soccer match, and spent a great time there. The atmosphere was out of this world, mainly when Celtic scored I guess!!!

Apart from the atmosphere though, the food was just what we needed. My wife Rebecca had the Irish Stew but got through about only half of that due to the sheer size of the dish, but boy did she enjoy it. I tried the beef and Guinness pie, but unlike Rebecca left nothing on the plate! I remember us sitting there not able to look at another piece of food we were so full up.

So there are probably many other fancy restaurants we could have gone to if we'd had the time, but for the food, people and memories Molly Malones will live with us for years!!!
