The Kelvingrove Hotel Glasgow isn't on this page just to convince you there's somewhere other than the City Centre to stay in while you're here.
It's on this page because, put simply, this is one of the top hotels in the whole of Glasgow.
Maybe it's because it's family run, and whilst modern and everything you'd expect from a four star hotel, when you stay here you might get the feeling that you're not staying in the City at all.
It's ideally located for the top of the City Centre and a walk away from all the main attractions and shopping in the West End. This place gets great reviews on a regular basis, and I hope you agree if you choose to stay here. G Williams This is a gem of a small hotel. It is not pretentious in any way and is a simple hotel. The main selling point is the staff who are all genuinely friendly (not corporate chain friendly) and very helpful. THe reception is full of helpful advice. Breakfast is a treat with excellent service. It does take a while to get used to the downstairs nature of the hotel and there are no views.
E Jensen I stayed at the Kelvingrove hotel with my husband in July 09 to attend a conference at the SECC. We liked the hotel and the area. Staff were friendly and the room was attractively decorated in a modern style and nice and clean too (although Wi-fi connection was not briliant). The area is good for the museum and park, walking along the river to the botanics and we found plenty of nice places to eat very close by (the 78 is a great veggie place, nice Korean restaurant and the Neighbourhood bar was also friendly with nice and well priced food). Breakfast was fine, choice of cereals, yoghurts, some fruit, or whatever components of a cooked breakfast you want.
J Patel This hotel is ideally located for the SECC. There are many eating options a very short walk away and the staff were very helpful in this regard. The hotel is clean and the rooms are of a good standard. The breakfast is very tasty and delivered very quickly, you must try the potato scones! A very well run family hotel with good old fashioned customer service.
F Khalif From the moment I arrived the member of staff on reception provided a superb professional welcome. This excellent friendly and efficient service continued throughout my stay. The room was excellent and the breakfast experience good. I had a presentation to prepare and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in allowing use of their printer and providing internet access. I don't normally feel inspired to review anything but I was really impressed with the service here.
