Turning Passion into Cash
Here's a wee page introducing you to my venture into cyberspace, how I got going with the Top Ten Glasgow Guide and how it turns a profit for me every day automatically.
I've just been feeling so lucky to have had an opportunity like this that I wanted to pass on exactly how you can do the same, how you can take whatever you're passionate about and turn it into a business you can be proud of.
In the meantime, now that the hotel section has been polished off, my eyes are turning now to the getting around Glasgow section as well as the restaurants page, so hopefully you'll see some more stuff appearing on the site soon.

A little gem in the West End
I've just polished off a new page on the Kelvingrove Hotel Glasgow, a little gem of a place in the West End of the City.
I really love places like this, where when you stay in them you feel like you're not staying in the City, and maybe that's because it's small, family run and friendly. Have a wee look and see if it tickles your fancy...

Let's prove the critics wrong
I have this seething hatred for critics - they ruin everything, and nine times out of ten they'll assume that even though what they're yapping on about is a matter of personal, subjective opinion, we should listen to them as they're more qualified than us to tell us what we should like or dislike.
What's this little rant about?
Hotel critics this time. I've just completed a wee page on the impressive Ramada Glasgow City Centre Hotel, and on the page I've had to hold back on the folks who've had nothing better to do than to slam it into the ground.
As far as I'm concerned, given the quality it presents as you'd expect from such an internationally reknowned chain, this place deserves being in my list of the top ten hotels in Glasgow, and its place there is a sign that people can make up their own minds about where to stay.
OK, so you might disagree if you've been there yourself, but please don't look at the reviews online of this hotel and base your decision only on them. I'm fighting its corner here, and hopefully if you do stay there you'll be happy with your choice.
Anyway, rant over. I'm off for a lie down...

Feeding the Beast
This is just a wee technical update to let you know that I've been tinkering around in the dark inner workings of the site, and that as a result, the Lobey Dosser Tribute Glasgow Blog now has a new engine.
All new subscribers to the blog will be sent to
http://feeds.feedburner.com/lobeydosserglasgow
and if you've subscribed already, while it's not strictly necessary you might want to update your feed reader to request this new address.
All very technical I know, but I'm just bringing the ol' blog swinging into the 21st Century.
Peace out for now.

So what's this Theatreland Glasgow stuff?
Yup, apparently there's a Theatreland District in Glasgow - I found it when I was researching for the best hotels in the City, and right at the centre of it is the Express by Holiday Inn City Centre Glasgow Theatreland.
What a title eh?
So here's my wee page on the place, and you should find that it's a perfect hotel to rest your head after a great performance.

Maltastique
Have a wee look at my new page on one of the top ten restaurants in Glasgow, Malmaison Glasgow.
Hopefully I'll be completing the hotel section in the next few weeks while Alan's away finding himself in Europe so there'll be less focusing on the podcast, but no doubt I'll get sidetracked by the usual dangerous combo of free time and a thirst for drink...

Our One Year Anniversary
We've been celebrating this week our one year anniversary on the For the Love of G...lasgow podcast, the official podcast of the Top Ten Glasgow Guide that's managed somehow to be featured by iTunes.
So to cast your minds back to the bad old days of the early episodes where we struggled quite professionally to say anything approaching comedy, and where the sound quality attempted to quieten our tragic voices into no doubt thankful silence, in this new episode we thought we'd give you another taste of that.
In the words of a certain character in Back to the Future - ah hate horse manure!!.
Have a listen anyway now I've sold it to you, and let us know what you think...
