Free Glasgow Games

OK, so having put in a power of work to the site in the last few weeks, I got distracted for a second, and low and behold a page of free Glasgow Games has suddenly appeared on the site having escaped my notice.

A word of warning - if you've got something important to do right now, if someone is depending on your full attention, don't click onto this page - I just can't guarantee you'll end up doing anything other than frittering away your time there for the rest of the day.

More games to follow soon, apparently...

Did you capture your special Glasgow moment?

It's no man...Whoaa, it's all hotting up now.

I've now added a great wee feature in my Glasgow Photo Box. First you could share your best Glasgow restaurant experience. Now you can share with your friends, family and thousands of other visitors every month, your single best moment in Glasgow that you captured on camera.

Simply upload the photo, tell us the wee story behind it, and you'll have your own little memory of Glasgow online for years to come.

Add as many Glasgow photos as you like, your own scrapbook of your time here, and tell everyone you know to have a look and upload photos of their own...

Molly Malones on Hope Street

I don't know if this counts Scott because Molly Malones is a bar, but the food there is brilliant. My wife and I have recently returned from a trip

What's YOUR best Glasgow Restaurant?

Where to go for dinner?Enough about me. It's YOUR time now.

As I mentioned a few days ago, after a great deal of head-scratching, I've managed to work out how to publish your experiences of Glasgow in my site.

First up? What's your favourite Glasgow restaurant?

Take a look at my little restaurants section. You'll see that you can add your experience, what you love about your best place to eat here, what you were there for, who you were with. You can add your best photo of your time at the restaurant, and if you've got a video on YouTube etc., I can embed that too for all your friends and family to share, together with thousands of other visitors every month.

So don't be shy - be among the first ones to share your experience and get your name up in lights. Then tell everyone you know so that they can comment on it all.

This whole shabang is about to really take off. Think of me from now on as your personal online scrapbook. If you want to create your own profile, as you would in MySpace or Bebo, I'll be setting that up soon, allowing you to contribute your own thoughts and special memories of Glasgow, and request your own comments from visitors to your mini-site.

All very exciting, so start things off by telling me all about your most memorable time at your favourite restaurant in Glasgow...

It's Tumbleweed Time...

It's tumbleweed timeYeah yeah, the stranger returns.

You'll have noticed that it's been a bit silent in the Lobey Dosser Tribute Blog recently. I won't bore you with why that's been the case, but suffice to say that in the next few months you'll be seeing some pretty exciting additions and changes to the site.

The most juicy thing I'll be adding is the ability for you to add your own Top Ten Glasgow Guide onto my site, and to write about your experiences with your favourite restaurants, attractions etc. here. You'll also be able to add your best photos as well and have others comment on your experiences.

Basically, in the last few months of silent contemplation (did you hear something buzzing?...), I've managed to get my brain cells around how to create a mini-mySpace (or more accurately a mini-TripAdvisor) on the site, so you'll be able to visit and edit your own page about your time in Glasgow, with the idea that the more people contribute, the better and more personal a resource about Glasgow the site will provide.

I'll also be pressing on with my never-ending quest to complete my restaurants and attractions guides, and will be looking to add an annual events guide as well to bring you up to speed with the bursting calendar of Glasgow festivals and so on.

So check back soon, collect your best original photos of Glasgow you can find, have a think about what you'd like to write about, and in no time at all you'll have your name and story up in lights, to be read by thousands of visitors every month (despite the silent treatment I gave you in the blog, last month was the site's best ever in terms of traffic, and it's onwards and upwards every day).

I'll be in touch soon with more details...
